Product Description
Gaviscon Advance provides fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn, which can occur after meals or during pregnancy. Gaviscon Advance gets to work by forming a ‘raft’ over the contents of the stomach to prevent acid from leaving the stomach and refluxing back up the esophagus (food pipe). Gaviscon Advance contains double the concentration of sodium alginate of Gaviscon Original so forms a stronger, more resilient ‘raft’. Gaviscon Advance liquid does not contain sugar or gluten and can be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ingredients
Each 10 ml dose contains sodium alginate 1000 mg and potassium hydrogen carbonate 200 mg. 1 ml contains sodium alginate 100 mg and potassium hydrogen carbonate 20.0 mg. Each 10 ml dose is equivalent to two 5 ml measuring spoons. Each tablet contains sodium alginate 500 mg and potassium bicarbonate 100 mg.
Storage Instructions
Do not use this product after the expiry date shown. Use within 6 months of opening. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not store above 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
Usage Information
For oral use. Shake well before use. Adults and children over 12 years: take 5-10ml after meals and at a bedtime, up to four times a day. For tablet format: One to two tablets after meals and at bedtime. Chew thoroughly before swallowing. Children under 12 years: not to be given unless recommended by doctor.
If symptoms persist after 7 days consult your doctor.
